Somerset County Higher Education
 Somerset
County does not have a four year college located within its boundaries.
There are two private institutions; Thomas College (www.thomas.edu)
and Colby College (www.colby.edu)
located on the County's Southern border in the city of Waterville. Located
within easy commuting distance of Somerset County are two campuses of
the University of Maine. The University of Maine at Farmington (www.umf.edu)
is located in the Franklin County town of Farmington. The University
of Maine at Augusta (www.uma.edu)
is located in the capital city of Augusta.
The residents of Somerset County are well served by these four institutions
that all provide four year degrees in various disciplines. Thomas College
also provides Master Degree programs in business administration.
