Somerset County Public Education
The public school systems of Somerset County are comprised of seven School Administrative Districts (MSAD). MSAD's are a combination of two or more communities who pool their educational resources to educate all K-12 students. One school committee, comprised of representatives from each of the municipalities, administers the students education through a superintendent of schools. The member municipalities share the MSAD costs based on a formula which includes state valuation and/or number of pupils. To learn more about each MSAD you may visit their web sites:
